How long would it take for someone to become a citizen of the Netherlands?

I want to do the EXACT same thing you want to do. I'm going to be a high school senior and I want to get out of the US too! xD That's why I'm practically hellbent on getting Italian citizenship so it would be no problem to work and live in the Netherlands or any EU country for that matter. Do you have anyone in your family that you could possibly get a EU citizenship from? As a US citizen, it's almost impossible to get a work visa there but if you can get citizenship from any country in the European Union, that would make you free to live and work in any EU country, including the Netherlands. ;)
