A question to the rational people (religious or otherwise)... How often do you find yourself speechless?

I find myself speechless whenever religious people attempt to hinder or stop any and all scientific progress as well as social progress merely because their ancient book say so and or because they would rather cling onto ancient beliefs than accept change.
