Which road bike should I get? Specialized or Giant?

Of the 2 bikes, the Giant has far better components. The Specialized has a Tiagra rear derailleur, all the other shift components are Sora which many people do not like because of the different shift configuration. The Giant has a full Tiagra group, including the crankset, a big upgrade. The giant also has a carbon fork, so the Specialized has no advantage there. These are both good bikes sold through authorized dealers. You should try both bikes out and see which fits better, there is no use buying one bike over another if it doesn't fit you and you don't like the way it handles. Either bike would fit your needs, but on paper, the Giant has an edge
